Storing Your E-scooter for Winter: 7 Steps for Safe Hibernation
Proper storage of an e-scooter during 3 months of non-use extends battery life by 30%. We explain the process step-by-step.

1. Charge the battery to 50–60%
The ideal charge level for long-term storage. A full battery (100%) ages faster, while an empty one (below 10%) can permanently fail.
2. Remove the battery (if removable)
Store it indoors, in a dry place at 10–20 °C. Do not store it in a garage at –10 °C or above a heater.
3. Clean the scooter
Wash the scooter, dry it, and coat metal parts with a protective spray. Moisture and salt cause corrosion of electronic connectors.
4. Inflate tires
Increase tire pressure by 0.3 bar above recommended — prevent tires from flattening where they contact the ground.
5. Cover the scooter
Use a breathable cover (not PVC, which traps moisture). An ideal place is a dry area without strong sunlight.
6. Check every 6 weeks
The battery charge level should not fall below 30%. If necessary, lightly top it up to 50–60%.
7. In Spring
Before your first ride: full charging cycle, inspection of brakes, wheels, lights. After 4–6 months of inactivity, a check-up at an authorized service center is recommended.
