5 Tips to Extend Your Electric Scooter Battery Range
Proper charging, riding, and winter storage can extend the life of a Li-ion battery by up to 40%.

1. Don't discharge to 0%
Deep discharges are the biggest enemy of Li-ion cells. Charge when you drop below 20%.
2. Charge slowly
Only use fast charging when absolutely necessary. Overnight charging at 5–8 A is the most battery-friendly option.
3. Store at 50% in winter
If you don't use your scooter in winter, charge the battery to ~50% and check its status every 6 weeks.
4. Avoid heat
Direct sunlight and a closed car trunk can heat the battery above 50 °C, which permanently reduces capacity.
5. Gentle on the throttle
Rapid acceleration consumes disproportionately more energy than smooth, consistent riding.
