How Long Does an E-Scooter Battery Last: 800–1,200 Charging Cycles

Modern Li-ion batteries in our e-scooters last 800–1,200 full charging cycles — which means 50,000–90,000 km of riding before performance degradation.

How Long Does an E-Scooter Battery Last: 800–1,200 Charging Cycles

What is One Charging Cycle

One cycle = 100% battery capacity used. If you use 50% daily and recharge, two days = 1 cycle. Charging from 80% to 100% is 0.2 cycles.

When Does the Battery Reach 80% Capacity

After 800 cycles, the battery is still at ~80% of its original capacity. This is the standard threshold when it's time for replacement or accepting a shorter range.

Real-world Lifespan in Years

For a user with 5,000 km annually: the battery lasts 12–18 years. For a delivery driver with 25,000 km annually: 3–4 years. After the 2-year warranty, replacement costs €450–650.

How to Extend Lifespan

Avoid charging to 100% every day (rather to 80%). Do not discharge below 10%. Do not leave the battery at 100% or 0% for several months. Store at 10–25 °C.
