With an AM license (from age 15) or A1 (from age 16), an e-scooter is the cheapest mobility option for students — €0.59/100 km and a subsidy of up to €750.

AM scooter (SZC E-Cruiser): €1,890, after subsidy €1,590. AM license: €250–€350. Total for the first year: €1,900–€2,000. Monthly (36-month financing): €55.
Monthly Cost
Charging (1,000 km/month): €6. Insurance: €6. Service (annual €60 divided): €5. Total €17/month. City bus: €30/month. A scooter is cheaper and faster.
Practical Advantages
No waiting for the bus, no parking fees, no traffic jam worries. From Maribor to a student dormitory in Ljubljana (130 km) is not suitable — for this journey, a car or train is still better.
