Number of E-Scooters in Slovenia 2026: Statistics and Trends
According to AVP data, 12,400 electric mopeds and scooters were registered in Slovenia at the end of 2025 — a 38% growth compared to the previous year.

2022: 4,800. 2023: 7,100. 2024: 9,000. 2025: 12,400. Annual growth of 38%. EKO sklad subsidies are the main factor — 4,200 incentives paid out since 2024.
Distribution by City
Highest registrations per 1,000 inhabitants: Ljubljana, Maribor, Celje, Murska Sobota, Koper. Fastest growth: Velenje (+62%), Nova Gorica (+58%).
Distribution by Category
65% AM (up to 45 km/h), 35% A1 (up to 85 km/h). The trend shifts towards A1 each year as users desire greater range and speed.
Forecast for 2026
With extended EKO sklad subsidies and rising fuel prices, we expect 15,000+ registrations by the end of 2026 — representing 0.7% of all two-wheelers in Slovenia.
