How to Choose the Right Electric Scooter: A Buyer's Guide
5 key factors when choosing an e-scooter: license, daily distance, terrain, charging space, and budget. We help you choose the right model.

1. What License Do You Have?
With an AM license (or B before 2013), you can ride L1e category models up to 45 km/h. With an A1 license, faster L3e models up to 85 km/h with a higher subsidy (750 €).
2. What is Your Daily Distance?
Under 20 km/day: any AM model is sufficient. 20–40 km/day: we recommend a larger battery (40 Ah+). Over 40 km: consider an A1 model with a dual battery pack.
3. What is the Terrain Like?
Flat city (Ljubljana, Murska Sobota): AM is sufficient. Hilly terrain (Maribor, Kranj, Nova Gorica): an A1 with a more powerful motor (3+ kW) will be much more enjoyable.
4. Where Will You Charge?
No outlet in the parking lot: choose a model with a removable battery (you carry it into your apartment). In a garage with an outlet: you can choose a fixed battery with a larger capacity.
5. Budget
Entry-level AM after subsidy: 1,190–1,490 €. Mid-range AM: 1,500–1,900 €. A1 after subsidy: 1,940–2,540 €. All prices include delivery and assistance with subsidy application.
