Velenje has significantly increased the number of electric vehicles in the last 5 years. According to municipal data, 280 electric scooters are registered in the city in 2025 — 4 times more than in 2022.
Parking
The Municipality of Velenje offers free parking for two-wheeled vehicles. Marked spots are at Tito Square and by Velenjka.

Charging available at Velenjka, Mercator Center, and Petrol (Šaleška, Kidričeva). Velenje has 8 public AC charging stations — the most per capita in NE Slovenia.
