Electric Scooter in Ljubljana: Parking, Charging, and Zones
Free parking for single-track vehicles in zones 1–3, no restrictions in the green zone, charging stations at Petrol petrol stations.
Parking
The Municipality of Ljubljana offers free parking for single-track motor vehicles (mopeds, scooters, motorcycles) in zones 1–3. Park in designated motorcycle spots or where you do not obstruct traffic.
Green Zone (City Center)
Entry to the pedestrian zone (Slovenska, Stari trg, Trg francoske revolucije) is only permitted with a permit. E-scooters have no special status here — the same prohibition applies as for other motor vehicles.
Charging on the Go
Charging via standard sockets at petrol stations (Petrol, OMV), some BTC parking lots, and larger shopping centers. At home, you typically charge while at work or overnight.
Cycle Lanes
You may NOT ride an e-scooter (AM and A1 category) on a cycle lane — it is a motor vehicle. Ride on the road like a petrol moped.
City Traffic
Typical travel time from Šiška to the city center by e-scooter: 8–12 minutes. By car during morning rush hour: 25–35 minutes. No parking or fuel costs.
