Electric Scooter in Kranj and Gorenjska: Hilly Terrain
Gorenjska sets different requirements for e-scooters — a more powerful motor, a larger battery, and winter conditions. We explain what to choose for Kranj, Škofja Loka, and Bled.
Hilly Terrain and Consumption
Ascending from Kranj towards Šenčur or Tržič increases consumption by 30–40%. For Gorenjska, we recommend the A1 model (SZC E-Sport 3000 W) with 80 km of range — AM models are more suitable for flat areas.
Parking in Kranj
The City Municipality of Kranj offers free parking for two-wheeled vehicles in blue zones. Designated spots are available at Slovenski trg and near OŠ Stražišče.
Charging Stations
Charging is available at Qlandia Kranj, at Petrol (Stara cesta, Britof), and at Mercator Center. Charge at home overnight at a lower tariff.
Gorenjska Routes
Kranj–Škofja Loka (10 km), Kranj–Tržič (12 km), Kranj–Bled (25 km), Kranj–Radovljica (22 km). For all, account for 20–30% higher consumption due to uphill climbs.
